Dental implants

An implant is a titanium screw placed into the jawbone that is essentially an artificial tooth root, which allows for a safe and tissue-friendly replacement of a missing tooth.

Implant placement is a painless procedure that is usually performed under local anaesthesia.

In cooperation with the dentist, the type of implants is selected according to the condition of the oral cavity and the desired function.

During the procedure, the implant is placed either immediately after tooth removal or, if the bone condition doesn’t allow it, some time later.

If the gap between tooth extraction and implantation is too long, it may also be necessary to grow bone in the corresponding place.

The new tooth functions as a natural tooth and looks like it.
